TGB clients sign first baseball contracts

Three of the newest TGB clients have signed their first professional baseball contracts with their MLB teams.

Left-handed pitcher Isaac Anesty has signed with the Cincinnati Reds who drafted the Canadian pitcher in the 18th round of the 2015 MLB Draft. Isaac will now leave the Ontario Blue Jays and head to Arizona to play for the Reds rookie league affiliate in the Arizona League.

Chris Shaw has signed with the Baltimore Orioles after they drafted him in the 15th round of this year's draft. The Winnipeg native had spent the year playing at the University of Oklahoma for the Sooners and became the first Manitoban to play baseball in the Big 12 conference.  He will report to the Orioles Short Season affiliate in Aberdeen, MD next week.

Steven Leonard has signed with the Colorado Rockies after being taken in the 23rd round by the team. Steven had been playing for Campbell University in North Carolina as a catcher. For Campbell this season he hit .328 with two home runs and 22 RBI’s and 29 stolen bases.
