TGB clients named to Pan Am Games roster

3 TGB Clients are going to be competing for Team Canada at the
2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto.

Pete Orr, Andrew Albers and Jasvir Rakkar are going to be playing for their country when the tournament begins next week.

This will be the first time that Jasvir has competed for Canada on an international level. The North York native has only allowed 10 earned runs in 35.2 this year while striking out 32 in the Chicago Cubs system.  Rakkar has earned the closer role at class High-A Myrtle Beach.

Andrew Albers looks to continue the success that he had in the 2011 Pan Am games when he helped pitch Canada to a 2-1 victory over the United States in the gold Medal Game.  He has been a staple on the Canadian roster throughout his career and has MLB experience with both the Minnesota Twins and Toronto Blue Jays.

Pete Orr has been Mr.Canadian baseball in the past decade. He has competed internationally for Canada 5 times including three World Baseball Classics (2006,2009,2013), an Olympic games (Greece 2004) and now the 2015 Pan am games. It could have been six only he couldn’t play in the 2008 Olympics as he was called up to the Washington Nationals. He has played well so far this season in AAA for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and will look to bring his expertise to help lead this Canadian squad into another international tournament.
