Evans, Gamache, Pannone enjoying first half

After a year in which he played in 18 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Nick Evans is having a great first half of the season for the Reno Aces, the AAA affiliate of the Diamonbacks.

In his first 68 games of the season Nick has hit .302 with 11 homers and 60 RBI’s. His stats have him among the leaders of the Pacific Coast League as he is second in doubles (22), and RBI’s (60) and third in hits with 78 so far.

Nicks play has also earned him some accolades as he was named PCL Player of the week for the week of May 18-24 where he hit .462 with 13 RBI


Dan Gamache has been swinging the bat well in his first half of the season for the Altoona Curve, the double A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

In the first 46 games of the 2015 season, Dan has gotten 45 hits in 145 at bats for a .310 average as well as 21 RBI’s and 18 runs.

Dan has also played well on the defensive side of the ball as he has played the majority of his games at third base but has also played at second as well as first and he has 100 put outs and 46 assists around the diamond.


Thomas Pannone has had a good first half of the season for the Lake County Captains, the single A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

In 13 games, Thomas has a 3-1 record with 62 strikeouts in 55.1 innings. He has also only allowed 46 hits in that span.

Pannone has lasted 5 innings each of his last 3 starts  and had an 8 strikeout performance in his last start on the 17th.
