TGB Signs Evan Grills

True Gravity Baseball is proud to announce the signing of Houston Astros prospect Evan Grills. The Astros took the left-hander in the 10th round of the 2010 MLB Draft. The Whitby, Ontario native has spent the last five seasons in the Astros system and is coming off of one of his better seasons to date. In 2014, Grills started the year with Houston’s A-level affiliate, the Quad Cities River Bandits and was named opening day starter. In 16 appearances, the southpaw went 3-3 with a 2.70 ERA in 76.2 innings pitched. His strong performance earned him a promotion to the High-A Lancaster JetHawks in early July where he finished off the season. With spring training soon coming to an end, Grills will be heading back to Lancaster to start off the 2015 season.
