2014 Summary: Thomas Pannone
TGB client Thomas Pannone is coming off a very impressive 2014 season in the Arizona Rookie League. A 9th round pick of the Cleveland Indians in 2013, the left-handed pitcher dominated his opponents recording a perfect 5-0 record and a 3.20 ERA. Pannone limited his opposition to just 32 hits in 45.0 innings pitched, resulting in a remarkable .194 opponents batting average. The College of Southern Nevada alum also posted a 12.40 K/9IP rate, striking out over 31% of the batters he faced. Pannone’s best outing of the year came on August 6th in which he pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out 10. As a result of his great season, Pannone was recognized as an AZL Post-Season All-Star as the best left-handed starter in the Arizona Rookie League.
Looking ahead to 2015, Pannone has positioned himself very well to start the year with one of the Indians full season clubs. With his extensive athleticism and bulldog mentality on the mound, the southpaw expects to progress quickly through the Indians minor league system.
