2014 Summary: John Polonius
TGB client John Polonius began the 2014 season with the A-level Augusta GreenJackets (SF). Polonius found his stroke in the month of June, as he improved his batting average from .214 to .257 before breaking his finger on June 19th. The Willemstad, Curacao native proved his defensive versatility once again this season, as he received numerous starts at shortstop, second and third base. The former West Virginia Mountaineer displayed consistent success against southpaws, as he hit over .450 versus left-handers this season.
Polonius will look to build on a strong start to the 2014 season, and will likely return to Augusta to begin 2015. His versatility in the infield is a tool that seems to be highly valued in the San Francisco Giants organization.
